e:LIGA champions and qualified for eChampions League in London

Players of Sparta eSports - ENTERPRISE achieved their biggest team success yet over the weekend, as they became champions of the official nationwide competition in virtual football called e:LIGA. This competition is traditionally organized by the Football League Association, bringing along many benefits. The biggest of these is undoubtedly the automatic qualification of the e:LIGA winner into one of the most prestigious international competitions of the year, the eChampions League, which takes place in London during May. Our domestic league competition thus joins the ranks of competitions like the ePremier League or Virtual Bundesliga. One of our players will compete against the European elite in the group stage, which will take place on May 11th and 12th. The knockout phase will follow on May 18th and 19th, with the grand finale scheduled for May 29th in front of the largest planned live audience in the history of the eChampions League.

Our journey through the league didn't start ideally as we occupied the fifth position in the table after the regular season. This meant that in the playoffs, we would have to play one more game than the top four teams. In the first round, we faced FK Pardubice, whom our duo Seron - Emerickson defeated with a commanding score of 3:0. In the quarterfinals, we encountered perhaps the closest match of the knockout stage against FK Mladá Boleslav. Here, the match went to a tiebreak with Seron leveraging his experience to secure victory over Marios, confirming his role as the current best domestic player and advancing our team to the semifinals. There, we faced MFK Karviná - the surprise of this season. After two victorious matches, there was a stumble, and the score was 2:1 in matches. However, Emerickson swiftly dominated Dzek with a six-goal difference, leading us to celebrate a 3:1 series victory and advancement to the grand final. Waiting for us there was FC Baník Ostrava, who managed to defeat the favored SK Slavia Prague in the second semifinal.

In the final against FC Baník Ostrava, Emerickson took to the first match and defeated Totik 2:1. Seron replicated the same score in the second match, bringing us to match point. Then our number one player Seron faced Totik again. The match went to 1:1 until overtime, where our fighter managed to decide in a thrilling conclusion, clinching the title for Sparta eSports - ENTERPRISE.

Emerickson commented on the success: "It's an incredible feeling! I'm so glad we pulled it off. In the regular season, we didn't make it to the top 4, which guaranteed advancement to the later rounds of the playoffs, which was disappointing. However, we knew the playoffs would be a different tournament for us. We managed to showcase our experience and deal with every opponent that awaited us. Preparation for each team was perfect. We wanted to win so badly and bring that coveted e:LIGA title to Sparta. Now, one of us is heading to the group stage of the eChampions League in London, and I believe we can succeed at the international level. I'm proud of us!
