The biggest tournament of the year, with a breathtaking prize pool of $1,000,000 and immense prestige, is almost upon us. In less than two weeks, Seron will travel to Berlin, where on Wednesday, July 10, he will compete in the Play-In phase, from which he can advance to the main part of the tournament - among the top 32 players in the world. Seron secured his spot in the Play-In phase by participating in the eChampions League in London, where he gained very valuable experience.
This phase will take place the day before the main tournament kicks off and will host 20 players, with the top 8 advancing to the main part of the championship. The organizers have already drawn the groups, allowing Seron to prepare for his opponents in advance. These opponents are lesser-known players whose gameplay is highly unpredictable and difficult to analyze beforehand. Specifically, Seron will compete against Ahmadals (UAE), Charanjot (IND), Adefola (NGA), and YuvalBeli (ISR), each of whom is among the absolute best in their region. Winning the five-player group, which is played in a GSL system, means automatic advancement to the main part. Players in second and third places will be drawn into the so-called Knockout Stage, where they will need to win one decisive match against similarly placed players from other groups to advance.
Our team will accompany Seron to the event, so fans can look forward to live coverage on our Instagram and Twitter. If Seron successfully qualifies for the main tournament, he will play from July 11 to 13 in front of a live audience at Berlin's Uber Eats Music Hall. Keep your fingers crossed!
